For those iterested in taking a NewEngland/Canada Cruise in the FALL ... What is the "Prime Time" to see the "color"?

October, late Sept. The colors can be unbelievable to see when viewed on large hillsides when the sun hits the trees.

Definitely October...the first week, if you wait until Columbus weekend...the color won't be as good on the north of your cruise...Try for the first week of October. I live in NH, and when they are reporting Foliage reports...they always say it is good and going to peak Columbus day weekend,..I think it is because that is a long weekend and they want the tourism up here.

I haven't done a NE cruise...but I might someday...just because I think the foliage going up the coast would be fantastic!

Wow--what a long lived thread!! My own New England cruise was in '98, a ten day on the Veendam. Whew, so much to write from a 10 day trip...... some other post. Brief point for consideration, maybe it was just my luck of the draw but we had fog nearly every day. Couldn't begin to see leaf color worth a tinkers darn from the ship. It would clear up once we were ashore on an excursion but from on board, lol, not so much. Plus++++, in order for the ship's casino to operate we had to be out of the territorial waters of the U.S. and that's what, 7 or ten miles?? Even without fog that's pretty far from shore.
