Saguenay

While many cruise ships doing a NE/Canada will Cruise the Saguenay Fjords, the only ships I've found with an ACTUAL port stop there in 2008 are Eurodam and Royal Princess... so it's been extremely difficult to find information on this port of call.

Here is a very helpful site for those getting off their ship in Saguenay:

http://www.ville.saguenay.qc.ca/portail/wps/portal/touisme?lang=en

NOTE: This should come up in English. If not, click "Tourisme" and then click English.

We've booked the ship's excursion that's in a rather small boat to get really up close to the fjords. While I hate missing doing some things in parts of town per the above site, this excursion does seem like one I'd hate for us to miss.

Do you think we've picked the right one? We can still cancel so not totally locked in. Any opinions would be appreciated!

Lulu, by the pictures of those fjords, I would do exactly the same thing. Getting up close will be awesome Let us know what you decide.

Just saw this thread.

The Maasdam wasn't able to offer any excursions like that as the pier for the port was still being worked on last year.

So I know nothing about this area.

But it does sound like a great tour - go for it!!

Thanks, KK!

You've been the most wonderful help to me in planning the NE/Canada cruise on Eurodam.
