We're close to entering the cruise season in Atlantic Canada as part of the Canada/New England cruises provided by many lines. Although I live inland, I was born and brought up in Saint John, New Brunswick, and have some insight into that and other stops, including Bar Harbor, Maine.
If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them, or find out for you.
Thanks for this! Just keep thinking that while we normally like WARMER places ... BY FALL ... when we are ready for cooler weather and between home football games ... it would be a GOOD cruise! Seriously considering ... so appreciate the information!
Any suggestions on WHICH cruise line?
LuLu ... Visit SOUTH CAROLINA!
1/09 B2B (20 days) Emerald Princess
OVER 40 (started young) Princess, Celebrity, RCCL, HAL, NCL, Costa, Disney, Carnival, Sitmar (Princess bought), and (a very long time ago) SS Bahama Star

Not really. I know Princess, Carnival and RCI come into Saint John. Not sure about others. Not all go the same places.
Localady and I (along with our DHs) now have a NE/Canada cruise booked on the new Holland America ship, EURODAM, for 10 days ... September 21, 2008!
Think about it! We'd LOVE for any of you to join us!

Looks like a good cruise. You don't get into Saint John, but I think you'll like Halifax, Sydney and Charlottetown. Also Bar Harbor in Maine. You'll be very impressed by the Saguenay area of Quebec, and Quebec City is beautiful and fun. Have fun.

We are sailing from Boston to Montreal on May 25th. What can we expect weather wise for NS and down to Montreal? Thanks.

May can be a hard month to predict. The average daily high in Halifax for the month is about 60, and the low about 40. Sydney averages are 55 & 36. However, the highest maximum in Halifax for May has been in the upper 80's.
Montreal is about the same. Average high in May is about 68, low near 48.
Remember these are averages only. We can have really warm late spring weather in the Maritimes, or you could still be able to see your breath at night.
For your sake, and ours, I hope this year is a good one.

I second that!!
I am interested in looking into driving back into Vermont from Quebec if it can be done car rental wise. I would imagine that Vermont would be beautiful in the beginning of October!!
