    Sea World, San Diego

We haven't been to a Sea World before so I pulled it up onliine. I was amazed at what I found! It's as much a waterpark as an aquarium, isn't it? It looks like I'm going to need a swimsuit after all.

I haven't either Chud, but it looks wonderful!! The swimsuit is a good idea!!:headbang2
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Sea World is a wonderful park!!! DH & I love it...there's a special Dolphin Interaction Program in which you make reservations months in advance, get to the park before opening and then interact and learn about training their dolphins!!! We did this for our 2nd anniversary and had SO much fun!! It's a little pricey, but it also includes a 2-day pass into the park, which is great for going home after the DIP, showering and then returning for the weekend....

wow! that sounds amazing Jodi! I had no idea. so do you actually get to swim around with the dolphins? I'll have to look into that the next time I go down to SD! that sounds like a neat program

i love Sea World's dedication to the research and rehabilitation of sea animals as well as their efforts to educate the public

Have been to Sea World San Diego several times. It is a wonderful place. Make sure to do the skyride!

Actually Alisa...you may want to research the Dolphin Program online first, as you'll have to make reservations months in advance...they limit the number to about 15-20 people each morning.

thanks Jodi, I need to make plans first for another trip to San Diego. At this rate, it'll be years. I always want to do things, but never have the time to do so! Or the money for that matter...

Thanks for the info everyone. We are only going to be there for a day but I like the sounds of the dolphin program, also. I'm interested in seeing the penguins, too. Did any of you see March of the Penguins? It was AWESOME!

The first few rows of most of the shows attract a lot of kids because of the "splash zone."
