On hiatus from cruising, but still very interested!!!
What great information on San Diego.............Thanks to all
Now the sad part...........we aren't embarking there after all. Our Panama Canal cruise was red flagged about 2 weeks ago and then reopened for booking 3 days later.........
Embarkation has been changed from San Diego to Los Angeles........so San Diego will have to wait for another time..............but this information has been great.
Jim
JIM!!!! Oh well - I guess that works out even better for you then. You don't have to worry about trapsing down to San Diego!
Did your itinerary change?
What does red-flagged mean?Originally Posted by isujim

Holiday Inn across from port in San Diego... Holiday Inn a few blocks west in LA.
I was wondering about the red-flagged thing, too. What does that mean?

Searching for my next great cruise.
I am also curious about this red flag business for a cruise.
Were you given any explanation why the embarkation port was changed from San Diego to Los Angeles?

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!!
Stopped counting after 110 cruises.
We have stayed many times both pre and post cruises at the Embassy Suites on Pacific Highway. The front side of the hotel looks out into the bay where the ships come in. Another saide looks at the other side of the bay towards Seaport Village.
Embassy Suites is within walking distance of Seaport Village & Horton Plaza. There is also a Ralph's nearby for any items that we may want to buy - cookies, candy, wine.
