San Diego is a GREAT PORT

OK, I will get this new area started. I think san Diego is a fantastic port for cruising. It was one of the easiest to get to from the airport.

Here is the link to the webcam where the ship come in.

I too love San Diego as a port and as a general vacation destination.

I posted on another thread about the zoo in San Diego. It is a must if you have an extra day or two before or after your cruise. Fantastic! San Diego itself is one of my very most favorite cities.

You don't want to miss Old Town either. I love the zoo there though. And the wild animal park. Also Scripps institute. (new name though I can't remember) You could always hit Blacks beach.

There are different San Diego songs.

(music here) Black's Beach everyone goes, You don't need no button or bows, Black's beach everyone knows, a bunch of crazy people without any clothes.......

San Diego has been forgiven! May last embarkation was a total nightmare. Just coming home from a r/t from San Diego has completely changed my view of the process there. Fan-friggin'-tastic! Old Town (Gaslamp!) is my favorite!

Balboa Park is a great place to visit too. Also, the planetarium. And there are so many great museums.

Nothing like the zoo on a rainy day though.

I can't believe it's been six years since I've been there. After doing a three-day cruise (San Pedro to Ensenada), we got in our car and drove down here. Went to see the Tall Ships, walked around the Gaslight district including the big shopping mall there. Went to Balboa Park (not enough time to do the Zoo) and our little one saw her first puppet show.
