We are sailing on the Oosterdam in January. We are staying at the residence near the pier. Is it in walking distance of the boarding area or do I need to plan on a cab. We will have three bags.

Either way I would grab a cab if the hotel doesn't have a shuttle!! Lots of traffic going into port in the morning!!! Welcome to CLF!! See you have a lot of cruising experience!! Hope you will be able to share them with us, we have a lot of newbies that would appreciate it, as well as our more experienced members!! Enjoy our forum!!!![]()
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
I'd guess it's about a 1/4 mile to a 1/2 mile or so.

It's a pleasant walk without bags. The only hotel I would walk from to the pier is the Holiday Inn. Everything else............either take a shuttle or cab, unless you don't mind luggin the luggage!!

Definitely take cab if the hotel doesn't have a shuttle.
You mentioned 3 suitcases -- possibly you will have carry-ons as well -- too much to try and haul even for a short distance.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!!
Stopped counting after 110 cruises.
The website says that they do have a shuttle.
I would say that it depends on how you feel about moving you luggage about 1/4 mile. Ours are all on wheels and have straps on the handles. I can hook them all together in a train and pulls them easily. It would be a level walk along the waterfront.
