However we have not heard back from them. We sent out 2 letters. 1 in May the other the beginning of last week. We live in Nth Ca and will be cruisin Aug 7-11. WE wanted to see a taping Friday when we retun before driving home. Does anyone know how this works with the show? If we don't hear back from them any advice as to what to see? our thought werer Gromen theater, maybe Rodeo drive? Any advice thanks.

Hi Mitchie!! Both the Gromans Theater and rodeo drive are excellent choices. Goman's theater is now a Historical landmark, and it would be fun to see how the other half lives, even for a few hours!!

To order, send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a brief letter listing the desired date of taping and three alternate dates. You can request up to four tickets, but seating is limited. Audience members must be at least 16 years old. If tickets are available for the date you request, they will be sent to you by return mail approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the show date. All mail requests are processed on a first come, first-served basis and should be submitted at least 6 weeks in advance.
Tickets for a specific show are available the day of the show only at the NBC Ticket Box, located at NBC in Burbank, CA. The NBC Ticket Box opens at 8:00 a.m. All available tickets are distributed to the public on a first come, first-served two (2) tickets per person basis.

A: You should get organized, for one thing! Lucky for you, a limited number of tickets are also available at the NBC ticket box on each show day. We only distribute tickets for that day's taping, so you must come on the day you wish to attend the program. The NBC ticket box opens at 8:00am. All available tickets are distributed to the public on a first come, first served (2) tickets per person basis. During peak periods, people will line up in advance of opening. Please use your own judgment as to how early to arrive in line.

This is your best chance of getting tickets on short notice, but please be aware that we hand out more tickets than there are seats, so you are not guaranteed to get in.

Q: What time does the show tape each day and what time do I need to show up?

A: If you already have tickets…the show generally tapes Monday through Friday at 4:30pm (Pacific Time) and takes approximately one hour.

And even though you have tickets, we can't guarantee that you'll get in to the taping. The earlier you arrive to the studio to check in at Guest Relations (on California Street), the better chance you'll have. Unfortunately, there is no exact science. It all depends on the number of people vying to get into one show and on what time they started lining up. You must use your own judgment as to how early to arrive. You cannot arrive later than 3:15pm and be considered for entrance.

One thing to be aware is that there are weeks that his show doesn't tape. I couldn't tell from the calendar on the site that lists upcoming guests as it only goes up to early August. Don't know what to tell you about your request you sent in May.

Just remember you should never be charged for tickets (unless it's a special that is collecting donations for charity...which regular tapings will not be).

Another thing to remember (as stated in the Leno info) is that more tickets than seats are given out to ensure that when the audience is shown, it looks like a full house. So if everyone with a ticket does show up, not everyone will get in (the exception is Ellen Degeneres' show, but I don't think she'll start taping again til Sept.). So much going to a show will involve a bit of time on your part: the standing in line, the waiting for the show, possible extra time if things need to be retaped. (that happened once when we were in the Political Incorrect audience...the taping went beyond the hour to tape two shows).
