Question Things to do in Long Beach?

I only have one evening and a few hours to spend in Long Beach before my cruise departs on Saturday afternoon.

Can anyone suggest the best place for dinner or a Friday evening out?

    Thanks - Carol

Lucille's Barbeque is the best place. They have rooms all different sizes for small intimate to large groups.

If you need to stay close to the hotel (Lucille's is about 10 minutes away) There is a bunch of restaurants now open just to the right of the Long Beach Convention Center, Bubba Gumps, PF Changs, Islands, ect.. my choice is Lucille's although I liked the Brewing Co. had a wonderful steak but my hubby got real sick after eating there, but no one else did.

We went to the PF Changs in Woodland Hills to celebrate hubby's birthday. It seemed like a nice upscale Chinese restaurant.

You can go to the Aquarium during the day, but I believe it's only open at nights during the summer. There is a cafe there, but you can get your hand stamped at the door and go over to the Shoreline Village (there's a shuttle or you can walk along the marina), have a meal there and then return to the Aquarium, if it's still open. That's what we did.
