I just saw this, I think this is really neat I love San Diego and think it is by far the BEST Port to cruise out of. Many have always told me that Vancouver was great. I will agree that it is very scenic and hotels are very close but the closeness of of the S.D. airport and the ease it is to do embarkation and debarkation Sand Diego cannot be beat

Lisa, I totally agree with you It is SO convenient in SD. I've cruised in to Vancouver and as much as I love the city (I live close) I did not like the experience of trying to get off the ship. There were 3 ships in port and it was a nightmare. SD is just so easy to board and get to. Longbeach is an easy board but harder to get to unless you fly into there.

I returned to SanDiego after a cruise on Infinity
last December. I had known beforehand that there would
be 3 ships in port that day. I was prepared and had a shuttle booked to bring us to the Amtrak station for our trip
back to Bakersfield. Even then it was tough for the shuttle
to get to us to pick us up. It was a very busy day at the
    cruise terminal that day.
