Hi Thanks for the advice, I much prefer smaller ships, you can see I live in the past when I consider anything carrying more than 1000 passenger to be a large vessel! However, I am going to take a short break from ocean cruising after my Azamara cruise. I have booked two river cruises one for the late winter (Nile) and another for early summer (Rhine); I'll see if I like this type of cruising before deciding what I'll do for late autumn.

Well, if you want small and nice, check out the Paul Gauguin's new ship, the Tere Moana.

If you want a little larger, try Sea Dream Yacht Club.

And if you want exotic and wonderful, try Windstar.

Definitely some awesome options out there. Oh, to have the money to try them all!!

Thanks for the information. I haven't tried Windstar or the Paul Gauguin's ship but did have the opportunity to sail on the Sea Dream (short duration, due to costs) when she was Cunard's Sea Goddess. It was a very good experience although I did prefer Cunard's Vistafjord (approx 700 passengers) even more. None of the current Cunard fleet have filled the void. I am sure that Queen's Grill does but I refuse to pay the price, I don't wish/can't afford to have a large suite (as stated earlier) but I do wish to be pampered.
