Yes! There are things that we bring with us that need to be refrigerated, so it is very important to have a refrigerator.

It's not a must need, but it's nice if we happen to get one.

After our first cruise on Princess (every cabin on every ship has a mini-fridge as far as I know), I can't see going a week or more without one. In fact, whenever considering hotels, I like to know that we'll have a fridge there too (nice to be able to store doggy bags from a restaurant for a late night snack). Usually we just put bottles of soft drinks and water in the cabin fridge, but every once in a while we might put a dessert to have later.

Probably many of us have medical reasons for needing to keep things cool.

I don't need it for meds ... but am a Type II Diabetic (controlled by diet) so having a frig to keep yogurt to eat the first thing in the morning is very helpful.

Makes no difference to us. Very rarely use it.

we never use the refrigerator in the SA cabins -- they are really coolers on hal and don't keep anything really cold

when i want water -- i want it really cold and there is no way those coolers get it cold enough for me

now in the penthouse there is a regular refrigerator and we keep bottles of water and vodka in it

I managed without one on QE2 for 17 years and would rather use the space for draws. I can see why people want one though.
