Thread: cruise cabins and parking

I am looking at Carnival Imagination for a Feb sailing from Miami and not sure about cabin selection. I am looking at oceanview cabins in the front of the ship and in the aft of the ship. I am also considering various decks from the Main to the Upper (it is a 4 day cruise so not too worried about room)I remember sailing years ago and being bothered by the engine noise or vibrations in the rear of the ship so I usually took cabins in the front? Anyone have any specifice info about this ship? I will be in Florida before the cruise and have a rental car that I will be parking there so don't want to spend an arm and a leg for parking but want to be able to get to the ship from the lot. Any suggestions?

First suggestion; talk to a reputable agent - much better than booking it with Carnival. They'll have more information for you and help you through the process.

Next, don't get a cabin in the front of the ship unless you know you can handle the motion. If people have any problem with motion, they tend to get seasick more in the front than anywhere else. Middle is the best, but the aft section is better than the front.

And lastly, if you're going to drive down to Miami and spend the night before the cruise, there are several good hotels that offer free parking for the length of your cruise if you stay with them, so you won't have to pay for parking at the pier.

Just some ideas, but again, talk to a good agent; they'll be alot of help for you. They charge exactly the same as the cruise line (sometimes less), charge nothing for their services, and have alot of information to help you plan your cruise.
