I got a great one. ONCE. It was on RCL.
So, yes, I do believe in the Upgrade Fairy.

Okay, I'm also a believer. Even when our TA now says, that the Upgrade probably was, because it was our first cruise. Neverless, we had booked a Inside Guarantie - and got upgrated to obstrukted Balcony. That was realy a pleasend surpries. And when it only had the purpose to hook us - well it worked.

My upsale was FABULOUS! We were on a 16 day cruise in South America and got the aft Royal Family Suite for $500. It had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. I didn't care about the second bedroom but it was wonderful to have 2 bathrooms! We had a huge living room and an aft balcony. We used the 2nd bedroom to store our luggage. We had a walk-in closet and two TVs (which we never turned on). That's probably the only time we'll get such a bargain. That's one of the best cabins on the Radiance of the Seas.

We've never gotten a free upgrade, but there are times we tell our TA we don't want one, especially if we're in an aft corner Jr. Suite.
