    Century 1253 SS Veranda

First post, first cruise, have an opp to get a great deal on a 5 day Century Celebrity Cruise. The Sunset Veranda cabin is cheaper then the concierge veranda rooms and sounds to be bigger but have read so much about being aft on this ship (is that the right terminology) that I am going back and forth, back and forth between the two.

Thoughts, input, feedback HELP???? SO confused.

    Welcome to cruiselinefans!

You are correct to assume that the view is not all that great from the SV cabins on the Century. (noted that you have it listed as a Sky Suite, SS category... it isn't a suite)

We were in the cabin next to the one you are considering and this is what our view looked like.

I, personally, would not book this cabin again.
The cabin and balcony are very nice, but the view isn't.

Oh my goodness that was quick! Thanks for the photo, so since you are so knowledgeable C1 or C2 on the concierge class verandas, what is the difference and any hints on this, this is very last minute and starting to stress and the entire reason we are doing this is to relax! So many questions. Also any other hints on what to do here. I am sure I will post a million other questions.

The difference between the C1 and C2 is the location...the cabin is exactly the same.
    The C1s are midship
The C2s are forward and aft

Mid ship gives a smoother ride ...you don't feel the motion of the ship as much.
There is usually not much motion felt normally, but if you run into some rolling swells or choppy seas you will feel it a little...they use stabilizers to minimize any motion.

If you go for a C2 (which is probably a little less expensive) try to get one as close to the middle of the ship as you can. Don't worry about where the elevators are located..noise wise, I mean. They are not readily heard dinging on your deck unless you have your door open.

    Hey Joey

Yes! The amenities are greater than what you would have gotten in the SV cabin.

If you don't know what they are, we can list them here for you.

Yes indeed I will take a CC stateroom over most suites any day of the week..
the linen alone are worth it.. but when you add the Champagne and the fruit ..and the flowers..and the daily afternoon treat.. and the .. well you get the point ..
