Smile HAL MS Amsterdam - Cabin EE1910

we have been offered the above cabin, which they will hold for us for a cruise to Alaska on Aug 9th, since the Dolphindeck is the lowest, I was wondering whether we would have a real window or a bulls eye and how much light and view this cabin would offer?

any ideas! which cabin would be better, but not much more expensive, we are looking for a quiet cabin with a good view, so would be ok, if the sea gets rough?

thank you in advance for any help you can offer! Gabriele

    Welcome to CLF!!

I have not stayed in that cabin -- but will try to research it for you.

By the way -- that 14 day cruise is a new one and looks wonderful -- we had to cancel our June 14 one due to some house problems.

Couldn't find any pictures -- not certain if you have a porthole or a window.

But in any case when the bed is made up in Queen size formation, the bed is dirrectly below the window/porthole -- thus you can not see out -- but when the curtains are open -- light will come in.

If you separate the beds into twins and have one on each wall -- then you can stand at the window and look out. You will not see anything when sitting on the sofa, chair or bed.

The location of you cabin appears to be in a quiet area -- no stairs or elevators near by. You are just a little aft of midships so if the sea gets rough -- you should not feel it as much as those on the higher decks and more forward.

Cannot confirm what kind of window you'll have, BUT your midships location isn't all that bad! You must remember that seeing the Alaskan coastline from an "oceanview" cabin is
    barely "off" from anything better!
