for us it's always low down and central. as we always only sleep and shower in the cabin.

For us it ALL depends on the deck plans and how long of a cruise it is.

For a cruise 7 day cruise (except for the balcony) we don't really care that much.

For any cruise 10 days or longer the location becomes extremely important. Deck plans vary.

Most Princess ships have the Lido buffet aft. Not, Island/Coral Princess. In fact, everyplace we normally go each day is either forward or midship in those ships ... so I booked a cabin on the cusp of midship-forward with a balcony away from the hump.

Choosing the perfect cabin is a science.
It depends which itinerery we are choosing and the length of the itinerary. What time of the year will also have an inpact. Location of the cabin means everything both for the wallet and the peace and tranquillity during the cruise... what is situated over, under and to the sides of the cabin is extremely important.
