Grandeur of the Seas - which cabin?

If you were to book a cabin on this ship where would it be? My husband and I are planning a cruise for this summer and are confused as to which deck to be on, and should we be in the middle of the ship or the front or back etc. We know we would like to have a balcony.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Clancybelle.

If you are prone to motion sickness, I would stay away from the front of the ship as you'll feel more motion there.

Some people really prefer the aft balconies and having a view of the ship's wake, while others prefer the middle of the ship. The price will also raise based on the category of balcony you choose, which is usually as you go up each deck.

I prefer mid-ship on one of the higher decks, but I haven't stayed in one of those popular aft balconies yet so I reserve the right to change my mind

We've been on this ship three times and have spent a total of 29 days on it, plus we've also spent more than 14 days on sister ships, so we know this class of ship very well.

As was mentioned, you don't want to be in the front of the ship if you are prone to motion sickness. While the back of the ship is nice, if it's your first cruise and you're not sure, you'll want to be as close to the middle of the ship as possible.

Look at what's above you and below you as there are some places I would not recommend. For example, you do not want to be just below the Lido Deck - you'll hear all sorts of noise above you.

Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Thank you so much for your response. I think we have just about decided to give the Aft balcony a try. We did go down one deck after your suggestion to see what was above us!! LOL. Best regards . Clancybelle
