Lido Deck on the Golden Princess

I was upgraded from a BF Balcony to a BA Balcony on the Lido Deck-L209. Anyone know if this is a bad location in reagrds to noise and movement? It's only 3 cabins from the from of the ship.

Hi and welcome to CLF.

The main problem with being at the front of the ship comes if you get a swell and the ship is pitching (front to back movement), otherwise it's a good spot as you are well away from the engines.

It looks like you are under the Beauty Parlor so you should not get any noise from there.

Welcome to CLF. Sounds like your cabin will be quiet but there will be some motion. Enjoy it as it rocks you gently asleep at night....

One factor is the itinerary. Are you going to Alaska or to Hawaii? When we booked our Hawaiian cruise (on the Island Princess a few years ago), we selected a midships cabin because we knew that route gets a bit rough and marked our booking "no upgrade" because we didn't want to be moved.

On the other hand, we found our Alaskan cruise very smooth which was fine with our far forward cabin.
