    Celebrity Century

Hi All!! This will be my very first cruise ever and I am so excited about it!! I am sailing on the Celebrity Century in January, and we booked a Century Suite, do any of you have any information on this cabin class? I have seen a lot of photos of the Sky Suites and the Conceirge Rooms, but nothing on the Century Suite. My pressing question is does the cabin have a sliding glass door or a swing out door to the balcony? Any help (or tips for the cruise) would be helpful! Thanks
I'm also on the back of the ship, what are your thoughts on that spot?

From the PICS I have seen it appears the balcony doors are sliders but the interactive cabin view shows it has a swing out door. As far as the aft cabins, I would jump on one of those. The view from both sides is available and you have a lot of protection from the elements.

Thanks for the info! It seems as though not even Celebrity knows what kind of door is in that room! I would love to open the door and listen to the ocean at night, but it might not be possible with a swing door!

You consider the aft to be a good choice? I booked one, but it's right under the sunset bar do you think the noise level will be insane?

    Thanks!!

Andrea, we had a Sunset Veranda cabin directly above the Sunset Bar. We were not bothered by a lot of noise. We could not hear the bar at all unless we opened our balcony door.

In the evening it was rather quiet after we returned to our cabin. The "entertainment" there in the evening was a guitarist. I doubt that they have any full bands there, especially in the evening.

I don't know what kind of noise you would hear from the chairs on the deck above you. I really wouldn't worry too much about it. There are a lot of folks who have booked those cabins and continue to book them.

We love the aft cabins and would book one in a heartbeat! They are our favorite place to be!

From an online course I am taking:

Century Class Ships offer four types of suites. These include luxurious and large Penthouse and Royal Suites and very spacious Sky and Century Suites. All Century Class suites have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, queen sleeper sofas, bathrooms with bathtubs, and oversized, interactive LCD TVs. All Penthouse and Royal Suites have DVD/CD players. Century and Sky Suites have VCRs and bathtubs with showers. All have lounge seating on the veranda. The Penthouse and Royal suites have verandas with a whirlpool. As with all suites on Celebrity ships, Celebrity’s Century class suites offer an incredible level of European butler service for unpacking and packing, serving a relaxing meal on the balcony, or booking shore excursions. Century Class suites receive all the amenities discussed at the beginning of this course. Some of these amenities include a welcome bottle of champagne, a daily fruit bowl, complimentary cappuccino and espresso, personalized stationery, upgraded toiletries and much more.

century sky suite - deck 10 or 12?

I just booked a deck sky suite on deck 12 and am having second thoughts. Is it true that the SS on deck 10 are bigger and have larger balconies? Has anyone seen the suites on both decks since the refurb? I'd be very interested in hearing the pros and cons from someone who has actually seen them both. Also does anyone have thoughts about the difference in the noise level on each floor?
