Thread: Room choices and upgrades

We are planning the Oct. 4 cruise on Jewel of the Seas. There are a few rooms left. I'm a newbee to New England to Halifax cruising. At that time of the year, can the seas be rough? What's the upgrading policy on Royal Caribbean? Any good tips you give me would be helpful. Thanks.

You will absolutely love cruising Canada and New England. We did it last year and had a wonderful time!

And you will really love the Jewel of the Seas, one of the very nice ships out there.

As for seas, you'll be fine. Usually no problem at all during that time of year.

As for upgrades, RCCL is not really noted for providing 'free' upgrades. If they do, they'll be reserved for the most frequent cruisers. If upgrades are available, you can often purchase them for a reduced amount if done at the pier. But I think you'll find this ship and itinerary will normally be sold out or very close to it - it's a very popular one, so upgrades may not be available in any capacity.

I definitely would not wait to book since prices may go up and there may be very limited choices available.
