I JUST remembered this info, hopefully it's helpful. Cabin# 2600 on the Vision OTS. It's an oceanview room on deck 2, starboard side. This room is just above the gangway used on port days, which makes for a lot of noise. This same gangway is also used on embarkation and disembarkation. When we got back to LA on the final day of our cruise, it was about 3 in the morning and employees were unloading luggage and such from the ship. LOUD!
Also, this is just below the tendering area so there is noise both on tender and dock days.

Anyone have any pictures or information on room 6331 balcony room on the Carnival Legend? I am booked in that room on 02/01/09.
I Googled the cabin number and found this info for you.
Cabin 6331 – Extended Balcony
OK……I am not sure how to put this lightly but I would not book this cabin again. First, there is little privacy on the balcony. The aft is on an incline so you can see up and down onto other balconies. The overhang is a limited. When they cleaned the upper decks, I would get showered while sitting on the balcony. Also, we had two medical emergencies on two different days and the helicopter pad is right above the aft cabins. SO VERY LOUD. This is not the fault of Carnival. The first night with the helicopter I ran out on the balcony to see what the noise was. I was half dressed and looked up to find all the upper decks all got a little show! Ha Ha Noise is louder in the back but that did not bother me too much.
I had an aft balcony on the incline and I liked it, but you do have more privacy on the side balconies. You will also feel more movement at the back of the ship. The view from the aft is wonderful because you can see to the right and left.
On my first cruise, we were upgraded up a deck. Turned out to be right under one of the dining rooms. We could hear the vacuuming late at night.
So, like Pete says, have the deck plans in front of you while booking your cabin and see what's around and above the available cabin. We have even marked our last two bookings "no upgrade" as we didn't want to risk getting moved to an undesirable location.
Does anyone know how much a soda card costs on the Tahitian Princess?
If anyone has had, reads about, or hears of a bad cabin, please feel free to post it here. The more we are able to warn people of these, the happier our CLF cruiser's will be.

When booking a Balcony or Mini-suite Cabin, try to book it on the same deck as most of the Suites are located ... also, as close as possible to the Suites.
Doing this has always worked out great for us!

I am in E46 on the Carnival Ecstacy. It looks like it's right under the 'mall'. I don't expect there to be a lot of 'activity' at night when everyone is sleeping. Does anyone have any experience with this cabin or deck level?
We were on the Conquest last summer and our cabin (on the Upper Deck) was right at the front of the ship. I LOVED IT. The 'mini deck' right out our window was like our own personal deck. I would stand out there every night before bed (sometimes in my jammies) and just enjoy the quiet and the breeze.
Unfortunately, the Ecstacy doesn't have cabins up front. Anyone?
