Any cabin on the 4th deck on the Vision OTS, port side. It seems to smell like sewage all the time.

Here are some more "don't book cabins". These are from cruiser's who have actually stayed in these cabins.

HAL Rotterdam 1912---above engine room, where an alarm is tested several times during the day

HAL Vista ships---All VF's forward on deck 4, have solid steel panels instead of Plexiglas railings on balconies

HAL Volendam 3319---banging of doors to outside deck at all hours

HAL S class ships 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, and 311---loud music from the two nightly shows and the 1am rehearsals

HAL R class ships 2500, 2501, 2502, 2503, and 2504---are incredibly small

HAL Statendam 333---right across from the laundry room and people do theirs at all times of night

HAL Prisendam 507---tiny cabin at only 139 sq ft and is more or less, wall-to-wall bed

This is good info to have.

Does anyone know that cabin numbers of the Prominade rooms on Royal that are set right over speakers? I heard those can be very loud at all hours of the day & night.

Personally, any time I am on a ship... I am just glad to be there.

However, all Carnival cabins are not created equal.

We are a family of four and for years never had a space problem putting 4 people in a cabin. Hubby, myself and 2 boys. Inside, outside, Riveria to Empress...no problems.

However, we did the Miracle in October and had an interior cabin on (what I call) Main. And I have to say...it was tight. Thank goodness there were only the 3 of us that time. (Oldest was in college) I peaked in other interior cabins on that floor to see if that was standard and it was. So for 2 people....it would be ok. But would not do 3 or 4. Our cabin had the 2 uppers, so it was designed (technically) for 4 people. no way!!

I spent 6 years in the Navy and no matter whether it's a submarine or surface vessel, you can always tell when the fleet is coming in. Every hotel room within miles is sold out. And 9 months later the hospital is full of newborns.

Just something about that salt air and the motion of the ocean. And you thought sailors walked bowlegged because of the rough seas!!

Maybe that's why I still love the sea after all these years and luckily, at age 57, still like to bang on the walls occasionally!!

It's nice when you share excitement with your neighbors. At least they know someone's having fun!
