On one of my first cruises, I booked the highest veranda cabin on the Millennium wanting to be in the "best cabin". With no experience and an on-line TA, I paid extra for the cabin, only to find that there is a HUGE overhang from the Lido above that totally ruins any pictures you take because of the support beams. Never again will I book a cabin like that!

While doing some research, I came across these cabins and why you shouldn't book them. These are from people who actually stayed in these cabins.

Carnival Triumph 8410---it's below pool deck and they clean it from 11pm to 5am

Crown Princess R333---scraping of chairs and people walking from above

Carnival Liberty 8434---right below Versailles pool and Pizzeria

Carnival Conquest 7369---all empty space around it is Crew work areas

Carnival Triumph/Victory 6244---you are right above speakers in show lounge

Caribbean Princess suite 732---is right above Club Fusion

Celebrity Century 1026---late night deck parties are LOUD

Carnival Conquest 6456 & 6458---right above the lounge

RC Majesty OTS 1562---pool above you gets drained and refilled nightly and is loud

Norweigian Pearl 11524---directly under free weights and machines in gym

Carnival Inspiration V42---obstructed view means NO view

Golden Princess E514---lounge below you and lifeboat outside window is used for tendering ports

Carnival Legend 4226---balcony is 1/2 the size of a normal one, even though it looks big on deck plans

RC Voyager OTS 6694---JS cabin is longer than side ones but is narrower

RC Serenade OTS 7122---lifeboats below have a huge overhang and you can't see the water below from your balcony

RC Radiance OTS 7640---right above you is the Schooner bar

Carnival Glory 8356---Restaurant is right above you and chairs are always being drug around, day and night

Carnival Spirit Class---the category 11 aft on deck 5, is not worth the money

I think this is the funniest post on CLF. I am typing with tears in my eyes. My cat has run off, instead of listening to me laugh.

Janice, I will add other cabins on RC similar to the ones you listed.

You're giving us sailors a good name!

I spent 6 years in the Navy and no matter whether it's a submarine or surface vessel, you can always tell when the fleet is coming in. Every hotel room within miles is sold out. And 9 months later the hospital is full of newborns.

Just something about that salt air and the motion of the ocean. And you thought sailors walked bowlegged because of the rough seas!!

Maybe that's why I still love the sea after all these years and luckily, at age 57, still like to bang on the walls occasionally!!

It's nice when you share excitement with your neighbors. At least they know someone's having fun!
