    Brilliance cabin #7564-obstructed?

    Hey y'all

I have a question about the "obstructed" cabin #7564 on Brilliance of the Seas. I think I read somewhere that the obstruction was just a solid bulkhead an one side of the balcony. I don't know where I found that info!

Can anyone here help me out with this? Pictures?

    Thanks!

I went through all my pictures of the Radiance and Serenade trying to find a picture of any of those 8 cabins that they list as obstructed. I found a couple pic's that show that area from a distance and blowing them up did not help. I do have several pictures looking down the side of the ship from 9586 and 8808. There is not a solid bulkhead that extends to the rail like the deck plans implies. I did notice that that in many of the pictures the window washing equipment seems to be parked at about that location. Here is one of the pics.

Nice picture John. That is the port side and we will be on the starboard side, but I would imagine they are the same on both sides.

We will be on the bottom row of cabins and the window washer equipment appears to be above those. I DO see the roof over the lifeboats that prevents all the cabins from having a direct view down to the ocean, but that wouldn't be what is listed in the deckplans since it mentions specific cabins. It looks like a ladder is sticking up from below the lifeboat roof--in front of a balcony. Wonder if that is it?

With the deal we got for our transatlantic next month I think we can live with whatever the obstruction is! We booked a balcony guarantee (our first guarantee) on Monday and the price has already dropped! Can you believe we are paying $757.66 each for a 13 day cruise?! And we are Diamond members with the Concierge perks--they are practically giving this cruise to us!

Well--guess what? RCI is playing musical cabins with us! I looked last night and we have been moved to #7146! I understand with guarantees that we could be moved some more before it's engraved in stone! This is a new game for us!

John, thanks for going to the trouble of finding that great picture for me.

There is a 2nd set of washing equipment that a working is on in the picture. It is often parked right below the other one. I am not sure if that is what they are talking about with the obstruction. You can see that the partitions are the same in that area.

That is a great price for any balcony.

If you booked this as a gty, and they have assigned a cabin, chances are that is what you will get. Once they assign the gty's, it is not common to change them.

HaHa! As you can see from my post above yours--they have already changed our cabin! And from what I understand, it's possible for yet another switch.

We booked on Monday--got 1st cabin asignment on Tuesday---got switched to 2nd cabin on Wednesday. So far today, we are still in the 2nd cabin!

We'll see what is in store for us next!

Char, and we guess that's pronounced Shar, we've had mostly guaranteed cabins over time, and when it was assigned a number it didn't change. This thread was awhile back...do you remember if it changed anymore?

No, no more changes. We sailed in the E3 #1746. It was a great deal and a great cruise!

(Yes...it is pronounced "Shar".... I had a problem with that account, so I'm now using another name. If it gets sorted out, I'll be back to using Char. )
