Thread: The $100 Misunderstanding!

Just so you DON'T misunderstand ....

$100 bills US can be a problem. Many even very nice places will not accept them and even have a sign posted. The Plaza Resort which is a popular shore excursion will not.

Also, in town the nice waterfront bar we went on our last time there would not. We were there for a while and ran a tap so DH did use $20 bills which was fine.

Both of the above mentioned would take credit cards ... but we prefer to pay in cash.

My suggestion is to take ... like most of us do most places like this ... lots of small bills.

Both my DH and I love Bonaire! A bit sad our upcoming cruise in February has port stops in Aruba and Curacao ... but, not Bonaire ....

Possibility because they have a problem returning the balance in U.S. Dollars?
They have often had to return ours in Guilders.
