Bonaire

anyone been to Bonaire ?? going there in May on Caribbean Princess and not sure about the shore excursions. was looking at some of the beach ones but from what see on the online pics, the beaches don't look so great. one doesn't have bathrooms and one only has port-a- pottys. is there a good beach there? would like one that has a bathroom and maybe some chairs etc. ha. thanks

My Signature no cruises but a land vac. in STJ USVI.

You might want to consider Plaza Resort! Great way to spend the day!

@tipsyq
Hi, i cannot give you recommend for beaches, but i can recommend the following.
We were on Bonaire and we did a snorcel tour.
It was great. We made a reservation with Woodwind, and we had a lot of fun.
Woodwind Sailing Cruises, Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles
We went to Little Bonaire in the Nationalpark, got good instructions and had a lovely day.
They have snorcel masks and after snorcling you could drink, what you want. It is a smal trimaran and is maximum for 25 people. We can recommend this trip. You can write to Ulf, send him my greetings.
Please excuse my English, i'm Germna
Have a great time in Bonaire.
kind regards
Michaela

Thanks so much for this site!

Agree, it's a shame to miss snorkeling in Bonaire ... and the Woodwind Sailing Cruises sound great!

Micheala ... Your English is probably BETTER than most of ours ... between our slang and text words!

I was in Bonaire last November but did not take a shore excursion but I was told by several people that Bonaire has some of the best snorkeling.

Hear You! Our last port stop there was a half day in the morning so we didn't snorkel/play in the water. So wished our half day had been in the afternoon because the snorkeling/water is wonderful!

Not real sorry we just walked around town and found a great bar! We've always really liked Bonaire whatever we've done and hope to go back before too very long!

thank you all for the terrific info. checked out the snorkeling tour, looks really great, but we're only in port for 1/2 day so not much time. only port that have such a short time in ?? next time. going snorkeling in Aruba, since it's our 1st time, anything will be impressive. ha.
everyone always comes thru here for everyone.
