    Cool

Been to Bonair twice, both on land Vacations. You will really enjoy this Island. The water is wonderful and IMO the best Diving & Snorkeling in the Caribbean. I don't know what time you are leaving, but the Flamingos fly back to Venezuela every evening and what a sight. I know you have already booked the hotel for the day but It is a wonderful Island to take an Island tour on.

The resort looks like a lovely place! I am sure that the snorkeling will be superb and the hotels amenities will be lovely.
I hopefully return to Bonaire with my best girlfriend November 2007 when we do a 14 day 'gals' snorkel get-away to celebrate her 50th Birthday.

Went back through my pictures of our Southern Caribbean trip. only got a couple because I snorkeled most of the day and didn't want to drag a camera along.
Here is the other pic I took of beautiful Bonaire. The darker areas in the water are coral areas with abundant sea life, even next to the Ship!

Thanks so much Sea Otter, flacruiser, and Localady (great photos) for all of the information! You folks have me really excited about going to Bonaire!

Aruba without commercialization sounds good to me!

You are welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

That resort looks very nice. You will have to fill us in on how it was when you return.

We're going to Bonaire this Christmas. Is there anything to do other than dive or snorkel?

Bonaire is a beautiful island. There are some outstanding beaches and the snorkeling and scuba diving are awesome. There is also some very nice shopping close to the pier.

If you want to go to the beach and/or do some snorkeling, there's really no need to take any excursions. Here's a picture we took from our balcony towards the front of the ship. As you can see, you can walk to the beach. And if you're a scuba diver, the dive shop is the 2nd pier and there is excellent diving right there - so there's no need to take a boat anywhere.
