I went in early April and it was warm enough, but quite windy which resulted in my glass bottom boat trip being cancelled. If the wind had been any stronger I think the visit would been canelled.
I don't know high winds are normal for April, hopefully someone else will know more.

We were supposed to call there in mid April on an eastbound transatlantic sailing. The weather was horrid and they had to close down the port and airport for 2 days! So, we still haven't been to Bermuda!
This will be our second time to Bermuda on the 24th. Both times we have sailed it has been in July. It's sunny and hot in July.
First time in 1997 we sailed home through the remnants of a hurricane that caused crazy high seas. Sea sick bags were placed every two feet for as far as they eye could see on the ship...that was about 2 feet too far for some to grab. Staff was doing nothing but cleaning up. We were sailing along with another ship and one of their two engines stopped working and they were dead in the water. I can't imagine what those people were doing when I knew how bad it was on our ship...they were bobbing like a cork and it was painful to see.
I was thinking I wonder if we will have weather again, its been soooo quiet so far this year.
We've been there in late April / early May and had great weather!

So that is mixed results for April. July seems a very hot time. I am thinking of October. Hopefully hurricanes are spent by then ?

Tony, I'd be VERY hesitant about October! Big time hurricane season!
May is very good time to go!![]()

Usually the hurricanes that late in the season are more likely to hit the Gulf, since the Atlantic has already started cooling down. I would keep 2 things in mind: 1- Hurricane season officially ends Nov. 30. 2- Cruises are cheaper in hurricane season.

On hiatus from cruising, but still very interested!!!
I thought they tended to hit the gulf and travel up the coast. I think Bermuda will be spared in Oct especially towards the end when it is cooling down considerably in Canada and past the leaf season.
