Bermuda 'must see'?

We're booking Bermuda for April. We'll arrive 1 PM 4/17 and depart 4 PM 4/19.

We have no interest in beach or sport activities. We're interested in the history and culture of Bermuda and will spend some time in search of good photographs. [I should mention that stock photographs of scenic icons are of no interest. We seek out the overlooked things which make good prints for our walls at home.]

Given that sketch, what would you consider to be 'must sees'?

The history and culture items are easy to list, but when adding your preference to not photograph scenic icons, I'm at a loss.

We went to Fort Hamilton and The Maritime Museum, we didn't make it over to the St. George area since we were only there for 36 hours. We were docked at Dockyard (King's Wharf) and ferried over to Hamilton then took a bus to Horseshoe Bay beach before heading back to the ship area our first day.

In light of your preference for overlooked things, I would suggest that you buy transportation passes that are good for buses and ferries and take route maps/schedules for each, then you could hop off the bus when something caught your eye to investigate further for your photographs. Here is a link to a Bermuda website: Bermuda Museums & Historic Buildings

We wished we had more time in Bermuda and would love to go back.

Ziggysun;

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply.

I wish I could explain in more detail just what I look for photographically, but it's best indicated by actual pictures. You'll find a few of mine at:

Very nice. They are very unique photographs that are similar to looking at art

I don't know if it would help, but your best bet might be to find a cabbie at the terminal who can take you around to the local sights. The three times we have taken independent tours of the various islands we have visited, we have been given very unique experiences. Unfortunately we have not been to Bermuda yet.

Sorry.
