We love Bermuda - it is our favorite port. We particularly enjoy spending a couple of days there rather than just a few hours in each port. The beaches indeed have pink sand and crystal clear water. We find the Bermudians very friendly and kind and helpful and would go there every year if we could.

I am bumping this up, because I am hoping more people have info about this island.

I got a wild hair last night about going here with our extended family, and want to know if there are things for small children to do here. I saw that there is a zoo, an aquarium and a fort. Would any of those be stroller friendly? I read about St. George being designated a UN Cultural site (or something like that). What do you do there?

There is a 5 day cruise to King's Wharf from NY/NJ. With 2 days at sea, and 2 days in port, I thought it would be a good introductory cruise for children, and it wouldn't be too long in case we all got on each other's nerves.

I would like some information on a Bermuda cruise leaving out of Charleston SC. We decided we wanted to take our two children and mabe my parents. We are new to all this so we are trying do some research on the ports. It would be nice to know that Bermuda would be a good 1st cruise.

I haven't been there in a while, but I really like Bermuda. It is very pretty. Indeed the sand is pink...mainly because it isn't actually sand...it is crushed shells....!!!!!!

I love the Fish and Chips at the Swizzle Inn...delicious rum punch.

I am not sure that I would take young kids there...I know mine would be bored. Just my .02....

I have found that it is a bit more commercialized than years ago.

Bermuda was the destination of our first ever cruise. I had never snorkeled before, but we rented some gear right at the beach and saw SO many fish. Didn't even realize they were swimming right there at our feet.

The sand IS pink and really pretty (Not hot pink, sort of pastel). It's mostly the southern beaches where you'll see the pinkest sand.

I thought Bermuda was beautiful, but I could have been prejudiced because I'd never been to an island before so it was my first (and your first always holds a special place).

Look forward to going back again sometime. <sigh> SO many destinations so little vacation time.
