Thread: Belize -- Your Opinion

If you wish, PLEASE give your reasons. They could be helpful to people who haven't been and are considering going.

I will be in the minority, but I really like Belize. I have been twice and found the people to be very friendly.

Same here! We LOVED Belize! Can't wait to return!

We have been to Beilze a few times.

The first time we were there we did the Ruins.

We were really impressed with all the new piers and shops there when we were there in March of this year.

Have no problem going back there any time.

I have been to Belize one time, and I think that the outskirts were very nice, but the main town not too nice, the down side would be the long tender ride from the ship.

Next time, we're going to check out the ruins.

We went to the zoo the first visit. Great animals but pretty rudimentary facilities. Our drive threw rocks at some animals to get them to move. Of course we were appauled and asked him not to do that. The town was pretty rundown, but people were nice enough. We had a great time at the bar. Second visit we shopped a little nd hit the bar. I would like to swim in SHark/Ray alley on our next visit.

We really liked Belize. We did the tubing through the caverns, city tour and shopping. Folks are nice.Actually the place is very deserted unless a ship is in port, we flew there for short business trip this year and everything closes down except on ship days. I would enjoy another cruise to Belize anytime.

Hi Melissa! Where did you stay in Belize for your business trip? Was it very far from town?

I liked Belize and would go back again.

We did the zip-line through the jungle shorex. The guides were very friendly with everyone...even the woman that wore shorts and high-heels...come to think of it, maybe that's why they were friendly?
