I am interested in finding out if anyone has snorkeled near the blue hole in Belize. We are going there next spring and I would like to go there on an excursion or tour- but I don't scuba and haven't been able to find anything about snorkeling there. Has anyone done this? Can you go to a caye nearby and go to it from there?

I think Blue Hole might be too far to get to from a cruise ship.

It is part of Lighthouse Reef and you can dive, snorkel, kayak, whatever.

Wow, Zy - that would be quite a cruise if one were an avid snorkeler.. . and hada athe budget to withstand about a 12K hit for a single vacation

I loved the idea of the second one- but my DH isn't a snorkling fiend (like me) and so it would be a wasted trip for him- I'm going to try to get one snorkeling trip in and maybe one from the beach at one of our stops. My daughter likes to snorkel too- not so much my son
