We were there last week before Emily. We had a wonderful time. We booked a snorkel trip through coralbreezelimited.com
In belize the ships have to anchor about 20 minutes from the dock. We were on the Valor. Our ship took the ship tours first, but in some of the tours there were 100-400 people. That is way too many people for me. My mother and I and 2 others were on this tour. I booked the snorkel tour and my mother the observer. We were met at the dock by Henny (female) and we then got in a small boat. She charters different boats. Our driver was Leslie (male about 18). His brother Patrick came with us also. We went to Caye Caukler to drop off lunch orders. It was about 30 min. to get there. The ride in the boat was fast and bumpy. This may not appeal to some people. We then went to the barrier reef to snorkel. That was great. Our second stop was the shark and stingray alley. I got in the water but 1 girl didn't. YOu can stand in this water. It was then back to the resturant to eat. Lunch was very good. We had wanted to leave a little early, but Patrick and Leslie has wandered off and we left about 10 min. late. we had plenty of time back at the dock for shopping. We were all hot and tired and ready to head back to the ship. There was still about an hour before the last tender left. Coral Breeze does do the cave tubing tour and people said it was great and they loved not being with large groups of people.
