I've never heard of luggage getting lost between the dock and this either. However, stanger things have happened. Just make sure you have all the essentials in your carry on bag.

I've sure lost luggage when flying to the cruise. In fact, I have one particular piece of luggage that has been all over the world without me. It always turns up eventually. It has even managed to travel to places that no airline can get in to. I think this bag has independent travel plans. My husband has suggested that we ditch this suitcase, and buy one that will come along with us. Why would I deprive this bag of it's fun ? Besides, I'm always interested to see where it can get itself too this time.

I wish you hadn't suggested that my bag can actually escape from the pier. My bag might be getting some new ideas here.

Thanks for that info, that's what I mean't, scanning the large pieces of luggage at the pier.

Sounds like you have an intelligent bag with a desire to see the world beyond it's wildest dreams.

I once had a carseat make a trip to CA when I was headed back to NH. They (airport) had to call my DH and get him to bring another carseat so we could get my daughter home. Her seat got to CA long before I ever did! lol!

I usually bring a carryon with me. I have always just hoped it would all make it to me.

Last cruise there was a couple that their luggage actually ended up on the other ship that was docked.

    Another Ship

That would be awful. My missing luggage has always happened on the way home, TG. One cruise the hotel shuttle took part of our group to the wrong X ship and left. Once they realized it was the wrong ship they had to retrieve their luggage and make their way to our pier. It was a bit stressful.
    Have a GREAT day! Gayla
