Absentee Ballot When Away for a Cruise

Do you vote by Absentee Ballot when you are going to be away on a cruise?

I have never had the opportunity, but I would if an election was due. We call it advance polling in Canada.

If we were going to be away for the General Election, we would for sure. For a Primary we almost always have.

Thank goodness we don't have things like Primaries. Our election campaign takes 6 weeks .

Yes, we first did it for the election in 1984 and on election night we in the eastern Caribbean out on deck listening to election results on a short wave radio.

The next time we were cruising around election time we signed up for absentee ballots for all future elections.

Since then our state has gone to all mail-in voting.

Yep, did it during the last election. We were going to be out of the country, so voted in the presidential election using absentee ballots. First time we've ever done it.

    I agree!

I ALWAYS vote no matter whether it's the presidential election or an off-year election. This is the one thing that makes our country the greatest! Every citizen counts and every citizen should vote!

God bless America!! Land of the free and home of the brave!!

My hubby signed up to always vote by mail. Sometimes I'll ask for an absentee ballot too. It's just nice to be able to sit at a table with the state brochure in front just in case we want to re-read a page. But usually I'll go in person since I'm usually up early on Tuesdays anyway...and going to vote at 8am means no lines in the school auditorium (even though I'll have to park down the street as that's when parents are dropping off their kids at the local elementary school.

When I was going to school in Missouri, I would apply for absentee ballots rather than changing my address as some other students did.
