    Question Keys

    Another strange Question:
When you get your Cabin Key Card how do you manage to have it all the time with you and not to loose it.
I really don't want to trag a wallet around or even a purse. But I'm also not sure with this Clips or Plastik thingis what you wear around the neck....
    So whats the best?
    Any input?
    Thank you!

Go to the ships logo store, purchase a lanyard, they will punch a small hole in the Cabin Key Card for you and wear it around your neck.

I just keep mine in my pocket but then all my pants have pockets. My wife either keeps it in her pocket, or for her few pants without pockets, in mine......

But, nealberk, have you ever desensitized the card by keeping it in the same pocket as your loose change?

I have, and was embarrassed - but the Front Desk said it happens to men's cards all the time!

That use to happen to us all the time. Princess for a while even gave everyone little plastice cases for them which helped. They do longer do that ... but the cards don't seem to get desensitized as easily as they use to. Maybe they're making them better ....

Never had a key card desensitized except when near a magnet. We got magnets as a gift at one of the meet & mingle get togethers and Bob put it in his shirt pocket where he had his key card. Wouldn't work when we got to our cabin.

They told us at the Guest Relations desk that it's usually women who use purses or wallets with a magnetic closure that have this problem. Who knew?

Now we always use a lanyard and have never lost or had any problem with our key cards.

Magnetic things like handbag clasps can do it & cellphonee definately do!
P&O have introduced a colour code for the key/charge cards depicting your "level" there are four 1st timers are nothing, then come Ruby,(lowest level at least one cruise) then Sapphire, then Gold so apparently the "Goldies" wear their cards prominently shall we say! Mind you to go gold on P&O you have to have done 150 days at sea.

If I don't have a pocket, I have a small fanny pack ( bum pack in the UK). And I take a purse to dinner, for my key, my lipstick and my gambling money!

I rarely carry a purse on board. If I'm wearing black for formal night I do have a beaded purse that I carry, but that is the only time you will see me with a purse onboard! During the day I have my lanyard with the key card. At night I put it in my bra!
