Wonder if there would be a market for sequined lanyards for formal nights?

The only time I had one stop working was on an Alaska cruise and I was caring my cell phone in the same pocket. After that we started using a lanyard and had the pursers deck punch a hole in the card.

    purse is a must-have

I absolutely hate hate hate the feeling of my camera in a pocket no matter how small it is so I need a purse to carry it. Also there is a good chance I will go one place and my sister goes somewhere else because our interests are very different, so I need my cell phone with me. That feels bad in my pocket too. Then there is the inevitable souveneir shopp;ing - I never go on vacation without buying postcards and surely I will buy other little things on the ship. So lipstick or not, I need to carry my purse outside my cabin. Of course, I can keep a key in my wallet with my MasterCard.

Arrow You don't need change onboard

I have, and was embarrassed - but the Front Desk said it happens to men's cards all the time!
If you have a key card, you don't need change because it is what you use to pay for souvenirs, wine, etc. onboard.

The only bulky thing you would need to put in a pocket is a digital camera. Put your key card in your left pocket and camera in your right pocket, and you will have no risk of desensitizing your card.

I would not buy one. Who wants to show off a lanyard in photos? I have necklaces to show off! Fortunately my new black skirt does have pockets so it will not be a problem unless I wear a dress on formal nights and then I will have a purse for my camera and key.

I have always kept mine in my pocket, pretty much at all times. On my first cruise I think I forgot and left it in the cabin once. Good thing they have a photo on the computer, to id me.

On the second cruise did not forget or leave it behind once in 26 days. Never a problem I took, Along with my beveridge cards it even went in the pool a few times in my pocket and never a problem with it working.

Of course this is not always possible for the ladies. I know that the past to Holland America cruises I have done, they had a craft class on the first or second day to make a lanyard.

Pockets for guys = Nice place to keep one's card.

Husbands for gals = equally as convenient. (so says my wife)

I don't need a husband to carry my key card. I have a mom with a purse and my own purse. As long as dresses are not required, it can go in my pocket. Who needs a lanyard on a casual ship?

Andrea sometimes my wife wears shorts, pants, or dresses without pockets and does not want to carry her purse with her. It is very easy for me to carry her card for her since all she really needs it for is to purchase water. I am with her so we only need one card to get back into the room.

    It was a joke!

The only things I have without pockets are my nightgowns, two of my skirts, one set of pajamas, and a dress I never wear.

Tell your wife to buy a cell phone case on Amazon like this one:

Amazon.com: Golla Universal Music Bag - Grape Red: Cell Phones & Accessories

I have the same thing in a different pattern. It has a pocket for the key card in front of the pocket for the cell phone or camera. I love it as a camera case. You can take off the clip to put it in a pocket like I did. That thing solves all of your card carrying problems.
