Question What are the last things you check when leaving home for a cruise?

What are the very last things you check and/or do before leaving home to take a cruise?

I hate the "last minute" things and always fear we'll forget something!

The very last thing I do is check the thermostat which is on the wall right across from the door to the garage. Making sure it's turned down or up, depending on the season.

Make sure there is someone to take care of my kids.............. 3 with 4 legs, one with 2 legs & 2 wings, 2 with 4 fins and two with no legs or wings or fins. I worry that they will forget to feed one of them. Write a list and check it 3 times.

Then I give everyone hugs, pets, one last belly rub and a couple treats and we are out the door!!!
    Luv my babys!!

I always make sure the doors and windows are all locked, that the petsitter has the key to come stay at our place with my two babies, , and that any passports/cruise documents needed are in the car with us. And, ever since my husband left our hanging clothes bag with my black chiffon dress slacks in it on the door in the house -- which we didn't discover until we go tto Barcelona -- I quadruple-check the luggage!

That the alarm is set and that I have the passports, cruise tickets and wallet.

Not the last thing I do but I alway notify the credit card companies that I will be travelling for a period of time. Keeps them from causing you problems because of unusual activity.

Never post the fact that you are away on facebook, just an invitation for trouble.

Actually three years ago we were so late waiting for the dog sitter to show up, that we thought we might miss the plane! When he finally showed up I hopped in the car, sped down the road and had driven three blocks when I realized I had left DW behind! So I feel the most important answer is not to forget your SU!! (however I probably would still have had a good time with out her....)

I always check pass port and tickets, make sure I have stopped the grandfather clock, make sure all the doors are shut, then lock the front door and leave.

Then about half way there check passprot and tickets and worry that I did not lock the door or turn off the light or something.
