Exclamation First time Cruiser!! Question with flights

    I am a first time cruiser~!!
Very excited with our first TRIP!!

However.... there's one problem.... We are flying in from Hong Kong to FLL for Oasis.
I understand there is no direct flight to FLL. I saw online you can transfer from NY or other cites to FLL.

Is it better to transfer from NY or SFO? Cos' my family wants me to fly to SFO first then to FLL with them from SFO......

Another thing... we haven't been on any budget/domestic airlines in US.
Is there any suggestion with budget/domestic airlines from SFO to FLL?

I cannot tell you which flight from Hong Kong to FLL would be better, but I will relate my experience. We flew from SFO to Hong Kong but had to stop in Canada first (YVR-Vancouver). The flight itself was good, long but good. That was 10 years ago, so I'm sure things have changed. If your family wants you to go to SFO first, I certainly would do that. And if you can spend a couple days or more in SFO, it would be a great experience for you.
We just got back from FLL and in all my checking beforehand, there isn't a "budget" airline. We ended up flying on Delta Airlines and had to make a stop in Atlanta. The only airline I know of that flies direct from SFO to FLL is American Airlines and they are one of the highest priced.
I'm not sure if you can use this Cheap Flights, Airline Tickets, Hotels, Travel Deals - Search Data from 100's of Travel Sites at KAYAK but it's a great site to get "deals" and comparisons on for airlines. Usually on Tuesdays the airlines change their prices so I always check them out on Monday and then keep checking for the next couple of days.
    Good luck

are you asking for suggestions as to which airlines? or tips about a specific airline?

i believe both jet blue and southwest fly to FLL from SFO..

for a complete list of airlines that service SFO..
SFO - San Francisco International Airport - airlines

    hope this helps some....

PS.. you have ever right to be excited... hope you have a great cruise!

Joey, Southwest doesn't do a direct to FLL from SFO and I don't think Jet Blue does either.

I think Virgin America and Jetblue do non-stop from SFO to FLL

JetBlue does go direct, sorry, forgot . But they aren't cheap either. Virgin America is pricey as well compared to deals you can get with Delta when they run specials.

Great airline Joey. I would prefer to fly with them but normally the price is over 50% higher than others.

I really can't answer the question (it's been years since I've booked our last flight between LAX and Miami), but the advice I can pass on is to make sure you pad in every days. I like Hanna's idea of staying in San Francisco. It's a fun city and it'll give you a break from your first leg. Then you'll have plenty of choices for flights between there and FLL, with a nonstop taking just a few hours.

    Thanks all for the advices~

SF is not exciting for my anymore~
I stay most of my summer holidays there ever since i was a few months old..... and I am like 27 now~ hahaha~~

So it's more like a family union kinda thing.

    Anyways back to the topic~
I checked online for flight from SFO to FLL.... there are a few that flies in... but the only problem is the time....
I seriously do not want to spend another day in the hotel (cost is about 80% of the reason.... I haven't got much left after the sailing cost....).
But we were quite nervous about able to get on the flight and it arrived on time so we won't miss the SHIP!!

Should we use the Royal Connection in that case?
