I diet for a whole month before a cruise and a whole month after. On the cruise I eat like a horse and drink like a fish and gain 10-15 lbs on a ten dayer.

My problem on cruises isn't FOOD ... it's BOOZE!

Normally, at home I'm not drinking a Bloody M at 9:00 AM! (OK ... sometimes when tailgating for football games ... )

I get "Minnie Mouse Syndrom". Always, I'm back to my normal weight after being home for a week.

Update:

15 days to go. I've warded off the temptations of second helpings, more or less, and am on-target for my 'gangway' weight. It hasn't been a box of Godivas(r) -- my Lady's a gourmet-level cook.

On spirits: I enjoy a glass of wine with dinner and a port before retiring for the night. Fruit and a good Riesling or Gewurtz [or, most recently, a Traminette] on the balcony in the afternoon isn't something I scorn, either.
