    Cruise Document Holders

On HAL, cruise documents are sent to you in a nice leather album that can hold your cruise docs, luggage tags, and passports.

When I went on RCI the first time, I was surprised that we got a little paper booklet, no nice fancy document holder.

What is it like on other lines?

What do you use to hold your documents?

Years ago on Princess we got our documents in a clear plastic holder. I saved a couple of them and use them to hold the airline tickets.

I don't put the airline tickets in my HAL folder - too big - and besides we go to a hotel for a few days before we cruise.

When we first started cruising with HAL, their folders were much bigger than what we get now. They folded over twice - just like the way you fold a business letter.

    A lot more pockets.

Radisson's are gold plated with little diamonds around the edges...

OK, maybe not, but they are very nice. Real leather...saddle tan...with the Radisson logo embossed in the leather.

I'll bet the children love those treasure chests.

Celebrity does them in a ringed binder, small. But I think they'll be doing away with those soon. The advent of the XPress pass (Akin to Southwest Air's Boarding Pass) allows on-line check in and online credit set-up, so all you need is your passport and the printed express pass.

I just got my "docs" in the mail and they really only contained the itinerary, the schedule of excursions available and my luggage tags...My Xpress pass was printed right off my computer..
