Getting off RC Voyager Class ships

We are trying to arrange for our shuttle driver return time to take us from ship back to brother's house. We are all on the 9th Deck of the Explorer of the Seas. I have read some posts where people are off the ship by 8 and others aren't off until 10:30?

Does anyone have recent experience on this ship or a similar ship to give us a recommendation? I was thinking 9:30 but hate to be off and waiting when everyone is so tired from the late-night festivities and early morning awakening to go hang out in the lounge for their call.

It is a little difficult to nail down an exact time.
The sequence goes something like this.

    Those handling their own luggage.
    early flights
    Diamond members
    Suite passengers
Then they start at the highest deck and work their way down.

Customs and Immigration can slow things down.

All that being said I would expect about 9:00

The shuttle companies understand that the times can vary

The company I was dealing with on our last cruise suggested 10am as a good time to pick us up. Since we were being driven home, and not trying to catch a plane, we weren't concerned otherwise with what time we were getting off the ship.

As it turned out, the disembarkation process started way late (about 45 minutes). About 10am, we weren't even close to being called in to the lounge for customs. So I called the shuttle dispatcher, and she said "no problem. Just call back when we're at the shuttle pickup area. In the meantime, your driver will circle around until the call."

We were off the ship at 11:10, and when we were at the shuttle pickup with our luggage, I called and gave a description for the driver, and soon we were on our way home.

Just make sure you have the phone number handy.
