    Packing Space Bags

Have you used them? Do you like them? Can you offer any links for them besides these:

I have used sweater bags and comforter bags for years to pack cloths in - cheaper and not as bulky as those space saver bags. You can get a couple of them in a package at stores like Linen & Things and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

I like the idea that DH packs his things in bags and I pack my things in bags and once we are in the cabin, we just pop those bags in the drawers and we are all set. Saves time on unpacking.

I also use the bags we get rom the dry cleaners to pack sports jackets, slacks, skirts, etc. Helps to keep the wrinkles out.

And the best thing of packing everything in plastic bags if you use soft sided luggage is your clothes are protected from the elements should you suitecase sit out in bad weather for any length of time.

Don't bother with the Space Bags...go out and buy the 2-1/2 gal Ziploc bags. They are a lot stronger, cheaper and work just as well. We did this for our 17-day trip and only had to use 2 suitcases and 1 garment bag (for the formals and such)...

I found the bags bags lost their seal after 2-3 uses...the ZipLoc bags can "take a lickin...." Wait? Is that the right slogan??

I've wondered if these really worked. I almost got some once that you needed the vacuum to get the air and DH wanted to know how I planned to pack them for trip back, pack a vacuum? Boy was my face red :icon_smil

When we used the 2-1/2 gallon bags, we would fill them up and then sit on them and seal it!! No vacuum needed.

I always use the big ziplocks!! They are clear in case of inspections, and it keeps things seperated for easy put away!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
