    Cruise Tip Calculator

This is a link to a tip calculator. When you click the cruiseline, it fills in the suggested tipping per day and your totals for the cruise.

What do all the columns mean, and how come some you tip Maitre D and others, and Princess just blanket statement "dining and hotel?"

    Hey Tracey!

The calculator is set up according to the way the different cruise lines break down the tip or service charge amount. Some are automatic service charges while others are "traditional"

Some use a blanket amount while others tell you how much goes to each service person.

To find out how much to tip, put in how many days, how many people and click on the correct cruise line and cabin category if you have one of the higher categories.

It gives you the total amount that the cruise line recommends. It will also calculate how many bills of each denomination you need for the envelopes.

You can also "customize" it. Play around with it and you'll get the idea in no time.

Thanks Char! Is this supposed to be over and above the auto-tip? or is this what you should leave on the auto-tip

This is for the recommended tip amount by cruise line. The regular tip you would leave, or in the case of the automatic tipping, it lets you know how much the cruise line will charge to your account.

Extra tipping is not factored into this calculator.
