    Passport picture

My passport was issued in 2001 so it's good until 2011. However, I have lost a lot of weight since I got it and look totally different from the photo. I also don't look anything like my driver's license. Is this going to cause me a problem? What should I do?

    Hi tinker and welcome aboard.

I wouldn't worry about it. Mine doesn't look so great either and I haven't had any problems.
Most officials know that we do change our looks over a period of time.

Thanks for the response. That's what I've been telling myself, lol! I really didn't want to go through the hassle of having it changed even if it looks like a complete stranger.

As soon as I know the details of my cruise, I will intro myself properly. In the meantime, I plan on learning all I can from this wonderful forum!

You should do absolutely nothing. Renewal is just around the corner, something will be done then, ie, a new photo.

Don't worry about your DL either. It will be renewed some day too, and a new photo taken also.

I agree with the person above me. You'll be renewing before you know it.

    Congratulations on loosing the weight!

Good job on loosing the weight! As long as your facial features remained the same, you shouldn't have a problem. I just gt back from traveling to Atlanta and I was impressed with the amount of time the TSA actually spent looking at the passports, DL's and other ID. At PHL and ATL Airports, the TSA was actually looking at the photo on the ID and looking at the person. They didn't do this the last time I flew.

Thanks everyone! We just booked our cabin. We'll be leaving from Anchorage on June 14 and arriving in Vancouver on the 21st. My traveling companion, who has cruised many times, is really excited about our cabin. She says it's in a great location and has a balcony!
