Thread: I'm calling this meeting of CVPs Anonmyous to Order

I realize the subject of "planning" your cruise has come up from time to time, but how many of us will step forward and say, "Hi, I'm" (insert your name here) "and I'm an Compulsive Vacation Planner."

Let me go first, Hi, my name is Patty and I'm an Compulsive Vacation Planner.

My family just decided to go on an overnighter, just about 50 miles away (okay, I checked mapquest and it's 52 miles away). We've been to the harbor there for day trips, but my hubby always wanted to stay at the hotel at the entrance of the marina there and avoid rush hour traffic between Ventura and the San Fernando Valley part of LA.

So, we already decided on the hotel but I still go on tripadvisor to read what people have said about their stay (mostly 4s and 5s out of 5, even tho' a couple had problems), before calling to make reservations:mobile_ph .

We're planning to spend most of the time at the harbor and the little beach across the street, but I still went on the Ventura website and googled the beach.:comp_surf

Last night, I checked weather.com and the local tv station websites to see what the weather will be like on Thursday (I got varying responses between a high of 70 and 84). After all, I need to know what to wear.

And speaking of that, I'll probably come up with a packing list (hopefully a short one) so I won't forget the camera , sunscreen or bathing suit.

Okay, enough testifying for now. Let's here from other CVP's.

I start shopping and packing wayyyy in advance of vacations. When we go to Disney....I book all the dinner reservations...put them on a computer done calendar...and plan which park we will go to etc. Crazy...!!

Hi, My name is Stephanie. I started out in May looking for any details about the Valor so I could know what to pack. I have started buying water cameras and choosing which books to NOT read so I can read them there. I also am looking and looking and looking at excursions....Help!!
