What unusual things do you take on a ship?

Chudley mentioned a crockpot and an iron. (I think she was kidding about the iron). I found a place to get a grill you can put on your balcony

Any other "suggestions"? No matter how far out you think it is, someone may "need" it! And if you think it should exist, and can't find it, I try to dig one up on the net.

You know MC I'm not sure we have ever taken anything unusual on a cruise..........but I do take enough medicines, over the counter stuff and everything that I could probably open my own pharmacy on the ship! LOL! Try and avoid the ships doctor and those costs at all cost.

Flannel jammie bottoms and a long sleeve top!! I'm cold at night!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Last cruise, I took all sorts of extra stuff since we were not flying. I brought a rack that goes across a bath tub (for books, bubble bath, etc.) and a shower rack to hold extra toiletries. People in line thought I was weird (couldn't fit all that stuff in the luggage, so it was carry-on), but it all came in handy!

We stopped at Wal-Mart for all the things we forgot at home, and I saw the shower rack for 97 cents. Who says a dollar doesn't go far these days? We still use it!!!

Here's a biggie......a HIGHLIGHTER!!! It comes in so handy when you are reading over the dailies and trying to decide what you want to do for the day. It really helps to highlight those itty-bitty lines so you can look at it quickly and not miss out on anything.

Also post it notes or tape and note pad to leave messages for family members.

And finally, decorations for a holiday/birthday cruise!
