Aren't we all supposed to pack duck tape and a bungee cord?

Lee! Tell me you don't really take all the things on that list!

Guess I'm something of a minimalist when it comes to packing. I found about 20 things on your list that I don't cruise with. Here they are:

Travel Bag
Birth Certificate (passport instead)
Royal Caribbean Notebook
Highlighters
Digital Camera/Charger
Hearing Aid Batteries
Post it Notes
Door Decorations
Laynard

To The Beach
Mesh/Beach Bag (my carry-on doubles as a beach bag)
Squirt Bottle
Lunch Bag (Collapsible)
Water Bottles
Lip Balm
Sunglasses
Rain Ponchos
Spritzer bottle
Bug Spray

Tolietries
Lysol
Hair Dryer
Flat Iron
Bath and Body Works
Soap

Also probably take fewer shoes than most claim to need, and no tape.
I DO take my snorkel and mask, and an extra swim suit, but leave my flippers at home.

I take as little as I can, and I still end up bringing too much!

Other than the obvious clothing and toiletry needs, I take my Ipod and charger, digital camera and charger, maybe a video camera, and spare cash.
I never take my cell phone on a ship. Everyone knows I'm away, so there's no need for phone calls. Any urgent communication I'll do by email, but that's usually not necessary either.

I really try to keep it as light as possible. My needs are simple!

UGH!!! I try, I really try not to take much!! I think it comes from being really poor when Dickie and I started out!! I didn't have a lot of choices for clothing, cause everything went to the kids after bills!! SOOOOOOO it is nice to not have to wear something, that I am not in the mood for!! I know it sounds snotty, but it really isn't!! I would not take those years back for anything, cause it is important to to build life together without help from parents. I am stubborn, But I have to tell you it really sucked!!:headbang2

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

You should see the list my dad made up several years ago. It's even longer! We bring so much stuff, my mom and sister even have a suitcase just for their shoes.

It seems that every time we cruise we take less. This will be really good when we cruise on RCI in October since we'll be bringing lots of smuggled booze with us!

That's how my dad does it. He has one made on Excel on the computer and just prints it out when it's time...
