We pack for half the number of days of the cruise +1. Just before the halfway point, we do our laundry. We always pack several black plastic 30 gal garbage bags. Great for soiled laundry, sandy beach treasures, etc.

Take Post it notes and pens so we know we each other is
Take an extension cord
Get tips taken out
Own sea sickness tables
Colour highlighters so you mark which activity on the newsletter you want to do
Glen 20
Bingo Pens
Coffee Bags
Chocolate
Over the door hanging shoe bag
Rechargeable batteries (if camera requires them)
Possible spare memory card
A Folder to keep a copy of all daily newsletters or brouchers to keep for later
Water shoes
Bag to pack clothes on last night of cruise
Zip lock bag for wet stuff
Packable toilet seat covers
Lint roller
Address labels with your details, incase you meet someone you want to keep in contact with
Antibacterial hand cleaner
Snorkels
Binoculars
Ear plugs (for snoring)

Garbage bag for dirty clothes

When we were newer at cruising (we've now done 40) we ran into a couple who were more experienced while we were in line to check in at the airport. Each had one suitcase--medium sized. We marveled at the frugalness.

The man told us that they had a system. They put a safety pin on each piece of clothing. When they wore it the pin came off. Anything that returned home with a pin still attached did not get packed the next time.
